I wanted to take the time to introduce myself. Some of my scouting background for you, I have been the whole way through the scouting system, starting from beavers all the way through to explorers, then onto leadership. I have had a well-travelled scouting history within Deal, Walmer and Sandwich District, being involved with 3 groups within the district.

With project ReDraw on the horizon there is a lot of work that needs to be carried out. But once completed, I have the vision that we will be able to provide young people across the area with a wide range of opportunities, new experiences, new skills and new friendships. With that being said, it is very important to me that we retain the history of both Dover and Deal, Walmer and Sandwich Districts, honouring the volunteers that have worked so hard to establish and maintain these great scouting institutions for many years.

So, what happens now, in the short-term things will now start to accelerate with project ReDraw. I will begin to recruit a team of volunteers to support you, our volunteers. As well as trustees to help us deliver project ReDraw.

These are exciting times ahead. From some of the conversations that I have had in this first week since the announcement, I am thrilled with the support that has been offered.
